This is such sad news. Although I did not know John that well, I enjoyed talking to him frequently at the track. My condolences to Jason and the entire Silver family.

I've been trying to figure out something to say about this but can't. I'll just post this. It was from a life long friend of Jays.
"Not too people in my life have made a lasting impression on me One of them is John Silver Senior. He was a quiet person but when he spoke he always made volumes of sense he taught me alot about being a man through raising his sons. His sons are some of the best human beings. I have always Idolized him the way he spent time with his boys and always was their for them through good and bad. I only hope I can be half the man he was RIP "Dude" " Gonna miss you Snowman.
