I don't think any of us can thank our veterans enough. What they have done to make this country what it is today is amazing. We have the freedoms to do what we want, and say what we feel without any persecution.
To all, I say THANK YOU!! And I will also thank my Dad,who served 24 years in our United States Navy, and is a VietNam veteran as well.

My Dad was a WWII veteran. My sister and I still trade back and forth some of the great stories he told.
One of of great regrets is that I did not serve. The Vietnam war wasn't up and running, and the way I looked at it was that it wasn't a war that was worth dying to fight. I had draft defrerrments for physical issuesand student deferrments out the kazoo. But I lost a a lot of good friends in Nam though, and always regretted that I didnt have their backs. To all those who had served, and to those who will, I honor you and thank you all from the bottom of heart. David The New Hemi Guy |

I have some older friends who were over in Viet Nam, one of the Army passed from cancer a few years back, and were always mystified why teachers got Veterans Day off and they had to work. Maybe the schools should schedule trips to local cemeteries to tidy up soldiers grave sites instead of taking a day off.
Don't forget the current soldiers and buy 'em lunch when you see them out, they risk their lives and and don't get Congress' royal pensions either. |
