Wow, that's some serious horsepower!

It looks like today was just testing though, so he probably has to run again tomorrow to get the record.

Records were set today. They are also setting them tomorrow.
Don't know how many were set today. Slippery to say it mildly, and a 15 mph straight on headwind.

Did this run happen or not? Chris himself said he set the record at 8.80 so the 8.73 should have gotten him instant horsepower yet no HP notice was forthcoming and the record isn't listed like Jack's, Art's, Chuck's etc. If there was a teardown issue was it another manufacturer spec listing error or what? I'm not a "new car" hater by any means (love the DP's) but if the "system" is EVER going to bring the new stuff in line doesn't it at least have to be applied? Did I miss something?

Rumor is Holbrook failed tech for illegal or maybe wrong heads . Run wont count and he should get some time off . Im curious as to why he was allowed to drive someone elses car for the remainder of the race if they were in fact illegal .

He built the engine and knows the rules,Chris chime in and give us the skinny on that record run
