Actually you need to talk to your cam guy about matching cam to the convertor.....the more radical the cam the more stall you'll need.

The edelbrock rpm heads have std port sizes, so you will need an A&A std port cross ram. Steve Magneta did a good article on a buildup of a similar motor in Mopar Muscle. The rpm heads can be ported to max wedge size, but they get thin and most shops recommend welding. The victor heads and Indy 440-1 are max wedge size, but will require a more expensive offset rocker. If the majority will be on the street, stick with the stock port.

Good info, I was planning on buying the Victor heads but didn't realize A & A made a manifold with smaller ports.

I have a pair of 518m heads done by Jim Morgan in Maryland
and I have a pair of bare 518m castings

I appreciate the info. I'm still wanting to use aluminum heads although I will stick with a standard port and the A & A intake.

My car is very streetable, little ez indy heads with the a&a crossram, small roller 620 lift, 4.30 gears. thru the exhaust it runs 10.20's shifting at 6k. Complete TTI exhaust.
