Here's all 3 listed with flow numbers
http://www.thefordsource.com/store/p...-6049-Z304.pdf

"Intake port volume as cast: 204 cc"
"Exhaust port volume as cast 85 cc"

In the Stock/Super Stock Cylinder Heads Volume list, both Z304D and Z304DA are listed with:
Intake CC's Max: 230
Exhaust CC's Max: 91

All have CNC'd combustion chambers, M-6049-Z304P has CNC ports as well.

Also, the engine blueprint guide has a 56 cc combustion chamber, while a 63 cc one is listed in the specs. What's the deal with that?

How can I go about getting an extra 26 cc's on the intake and 6 on the exhaust approved?

Total and complete BULL! My son and I both got more grease under my nails, and shed more blood on my knuckles, hands, elbows, knees and head, than you can imagine. And we didn't just buy a ready to race car. we got a roller with engine front suspension and viper seats, and not much more. We made decisions, matched parts, schemed and dreamed and worked harder than you can imagine for 18 hours a day for a couple of years.

And most of us, and certainly not me need an explanation about setting a national record. We put the (R) on our windshield several times. And we did set the A/SA National record for ET and speed at the end of 2011.

So go peddle your lame and uninformed generalizations, and other BULL somewhere else.

And to those who would criticize me for only being "in the game" a couple years while they have been playing for 25 years.... are you kidding?????

I have a lifetime of auto experience. I have been building and racing, although not NHRA, since I was 10 years old. And rather than you having 25 years of experience, although you may indeed have 25 years of experience complaining, I expect that you have 1 year of experience 25 times when it comes to other things.

If you don't agree with what I say, fine. Just point out where I am wrong. And we can discuss it.

But don't just attack me. It isn't nice.

You're full of "it". Did you sell your car yet? If so, good. Then you can move on to something else where you can act like you did it all your life and know more about it than everyone else as well.

You know, I thought I was out of this fruitless and asinine Thread but I've got to comment about this attack (in bad English) on David.

For over a year we followed David's buildup and I remember the hard work, the broken parts and the sacrifice that was made to complete the car. He worked as hard as any of us that built a car from the ground up.

That's funny, right there. I don't care who you are (with all credit to Larry The Cable Guy).
I wasn't aware that Drag Paks, Cobra Jets or COPOS had to be built from the ground-up.

I'm not trying to start a old car vs. new car war. Here's my bottom line: running way under the index, winning class or setting a record with a bogus HP Drag Pak, Cobra Jet or COPO is the equivalent of an adult beating up a 10-year-old on the playground. That's the truth, and NHRA is letting it happen. But it certainly doesn't make it right.

Jim there is nothing wrong with buying a race car. If one goes to PMR and buy a mid sixties stocker for x amount of dollars, is not different than buying a new cobra jet for x amount of dollars. It is simply a choice.

I built my Drag Pak. BRC did the chassis work and the cage but I spent lots of nights and weekends putting mine together. The 2009 and 2010's were all bought as a body in white with a motor. No trans, no rear axle, no wiring, brake or fuel lines. The Cobra Jets came ready to race as well as the 2011 DP's. I'm no checkbook racer either, I've been racing for 17 years and still build my own stuff. I get tired of you guys saying everyone with a new car bought their way into stock. David, Chris and Keith all put a lot of work into their car and they were not afraid to run it hard. I watched them tear down in Joilet 2 years ago after a few #1 qualifying efforts. They do their own work just like the guys with the older cars. We are all racers and all car guys or we wouldn't be out drag racing. What's the old song by WAR; "Why can't we be friends"?
