How about an entire class of same cubic inch, non blown cars? You know like TOP/SS or TOP/Stk? When 8 or 9 cars came to indy in each it was even impressive to the NHRA people and the announcer. Problem is it was run "after" everyone else, or after the crowd left or as an afterthought. Racers Loved it. Good Money was paid. Beats Blown, versus injected versus carbs with shoe polish. Just my humble opinion.... ask anyone who ran in it.

Dick, that was tried once before in 1970. It was called Pro/Stock and you can see where that ended up. I love the premise but it always gets out of control in a hurry.
Some time ago I sent you a PM with an idea for a "heads-up" eliminator that would work and not get out of control and it didn't meet with your approval.

Send it again Billy. Slept once or twice and have forgotten the details. Thanks, Dick

Jim Boburka and I tried to get a spec motor class that ANYONE could build and put in their chassis. Cheaper, more basic just couldnt get died in the wool old car owners to get involved.
