Here's a picture of your father's other car back when Super Stockers were really stock--as was the original intent of the class--and not quasi-Pro Stocks.

Lead Zeppelin 'Cuda today...

Like I said, quasi-Pro Stocks. Thanks NHRA.

The "Choo Choo Hemi" was bracket car owned by J. W. Fitzsimmons and driven by his son Charlie "Brother" Fitzsimmons. They were from Chattanooga, Tn....hence the name "Choo Choo Hemi." This is the same Charlie Fitzsimmons who won stock at the Gatornationals this year driving Larry Griffiths Drag Pak Challenger. Charlie won Pro Street, which was a quick 32 bracket race, at the IHRA Southern Nationals in '78 and '79 in this car....and it was a '68. The car was later crashed by another driver at Brainerd Optimist Dragstrip when the rod pulled out of the master cylinder.

That appears to be a 67 Barracuda, the first pic is from Great Lakes Dragaway, but I don't have an info on it.
