That's exactly what I was thinking when I posted this, why would NHRA even consider this, is having more street cars show up to the track making them money then making them safe.

Did NHRA change its motto from "Dedicated to Safety" to something else recently, to reflect such changes? I find it odd that NHRA is fine with 7 second "street cars" running down its tracks with crazy HP from boost or nitrous, on 275 "Drag radials", or 8 1/2 x 26 slicks. All this Extreme racing stuff just seems like a breeding ground for wrecks. And now 10.0 ET cars basically need NO saftey equipment, if they are 2008 or newer. I guess the laws of Pyhsics don`t apply to newer cars.

Not a good idea anyway you cut it, not having a bar or cage at 130+mph.
