I also believe that Rick Hendrick got COPO #2 (This is the lowest numbered COPO delivered. It got a delayed delivery so that racers could get their cars for Indy.)

Yes that picture That jack posted was the day before they were delivered to the Wixon plant I actually have a picture at Wixon where they were delivered where they were the opposite the black one was first and yes it was pushed out of the first position(hmmm now that I think about this jack was there I will have to ask him if he was one of the pushers) anyway yes the video shows the Gm guys putting the car on dollies and putting it back in the first position notice it passing all the other cars and yes by God passing jack as well! This is really getting comical isn't it. Oh and you notice when I put up the 10,000 challenge old Jackie boy clammed up guess this big jerk session is over. As they say in my business I rest my case.now lets get on with some more worth while posts.

Yes, I believe the last car is a 'Vert and it will be auctioned off.....It's orange and a 427 car I think.

Car #69 is the Inferno Orange Convertible (3-Speed Trans), debuted at SEMA, that will be auctioned for charity Saturday night at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in January. The real interesting one is Car #68.....a Black STICK SHIFT convertible with a future yet undisclosed other than the COPO book says GM ownership, no specified delivering dealer.

I would love to know the story on the convertibles. As the car in the background looks to be a production model does that mean that the two convertables are conversions?

I did not know that #68 was a vert and also a stick.....If this is correct, it has replaced Cambria's as my favorite!

I have a 2011 2SS / 6 speed convertible, I love the car......A COPO version of it would be amazing!

I recently saw both convertibles. Complete convertible bodies with functional folding tops. Look to have all COPO chassis, suspension, etc mods exact to the other 67 cars. Lots of details on the Orange car in the new COPO book including photos. Also info on www.TheBlock.com back when they showed it at SEMA. And remember........you can buy the #69 car in just a few weeks in Scottsdale. As to the Black #68, who knows?

George - I believe that car # 68 is going to the General Motors Heritage Museum .

Mr Parker, thanks for introducing the right amount of humor this story needed. Jack thanks for the thread. I'll just wait until my insurance adjuster calls me to pick up my 2012 Camaro with damaged front end to start my new build and I promise I'll lie my arse off that it's an original 002 and was last to come out of the factory because someone wanted Obama autograph the rear bumper, after a while people start believing the story and just maybe Barrett and Jackson or Barnum& Bailey will auction it as the lost 002 to Doc Brown builder of the Flux Capacitor after I've pass on to the big strip in the sky.
