It seems back in 1965, every Military guy bought a Tubro-Jet 396 when he got of out of the service.

I still remember a dark-blue 1965 Impala Sport Coupe 396 in our
neighborhood, that the owner always referred to his car as being a
"396 Turbo-Jet / Posi".

Power-brake burn-outs all over the place, was the normal daily routine.

It never did much at the Drag Strip (D/SA), but in the local area, it was
a nice street machine.

The 'standard' automatic transmission was 2-speed Power-Glide.
