It would not take anymore time, because if I run a SS/AM car they still have to wait for me to get off the track before they can run the next pair.
I agree with you, it brings some excitement back.

I would like to see jeff Teuton live to be 106 and still be racing. For his seed to be used to birth another 100 like him.(artificially of course don't want to wear the old guy out) And for Bo Kenny to have his Amex card taken away from him.Me I would just like to race more and win something that would be a big change.
Finally however I would like to see IHRA bring back the Pros( and Top Stock) and the racing they had about 5 years ago when we had some of the most fun you could ever have at a track and the nationals were packed.

I would like to see an overhaul of the NHRA structure. Get rid of the whole lot move them to Indy or someplace out of California. Put Pat from no-problem in as the head cheese. Find a way for the right people to pay for the insurance at nationals so the sportsmen don’t have to pay to cover the fuel cars being there. Get some tech people that are allowed to do their Job. Actually go by the rule book instead of changing the rules to meet what the cheaters have been doing. Do some work to the AHFS so it actually works. Tear down of cars before HP is given would be a good start. Also I would suspended anyone found complaining about so and so getting them HP. Since in my system before the car got HP it would have been torn down and found legal. So obviously if it was capable of going too fast so it needed adjusted. That would be a good start.

What would be the point of moving NHRA from California to Indy?

umm, let's count the ways:

lower cost of doing business
Indy, racing Capitol
Indy, home of flagship track
central location so nationwide communication better (office hours)
disappearing tracks in So Cal

and...................the #1 reason............is.........hopefully taking the la la out of their decisions and back into the real world

Every thing that Randall said.

The cost of just about every thing is higher in California.

The only one I would agree with is lower cost of doing business. The fact of California is losing drag strips does not have anything to do with how NHRA does business.
