I need to select Cylinder head/manifold combo for a 1979 305
Head: 376450 or 462614
Manifold: 14007376 or 78 and 346249
Which combo is best?

The 450 heads are the ones you want ; the 416 head is the number for the 1980 / 1981 305 . As far as the intake , I believe the 376 is cast and the 249 is aluminum .

Tom is right on with buying a carb from Dean Oliver !

462614 I believe is a misprint. Should be 462624.

Which head is better depends on what you want to do. Shoot me a pm for more info.

The 249 intake is iron.

Joe
