Which way would you restore the car ? Hemi or 440-6 Stick or auto ?
Yes it looks like I stole my car. Hope to see it some day soon. Reliable Carriers is swamped. As for restoring Dave Wren's car I would have left it like it was when it was a race car.

Looks like the owner is fishing for north of $250,000. Good luck!
P.S. If your going to go period correct, it should have the Hemi in it.

Talk about fishing, he says "getting 2nd place to Ray Allen (whose Chevelle sold for 1.2 million)"

Too bad it didn't beat the Batmobile or it'd be worth over four million.

The seller has relisted this car on ebay without reserve. 9 more days to go. It'll be interesting to see where it ends up.

The "no reserve" auction ended last night and the car only brought $77,000 and change. For what it is worth, I think the car should have been sold as a hemi car. This is what it was most famous as. The 4 speed or auto trans debate is open for opinion. It might be just me, but I don't think the car sat just right, either. I know the car was authenticated, but it just looked slightly off, in my opinion. Whatever that is worth. With that being said, a piece of N.W. drag history and very well known car sold CHEAP.
