I guess i qualify as an elderly racer, so i would like to ask my fellow N.J. racers if they remember a team of old Oldsmobile racecars that ran out of an ESSO gas station on the corner of St. George Ave. and DeWitt St. in Linden, N.J. in the 60's. They were all called " Home Brew ". I went into the Navy in 1966 and got out in 1970, and they were all gone. Also out of Linden was a Max Wedge Plymouth called Huckleberry Hound. Any one know where this car may be. There are a lot of gray haired racers in the Stock and Super Stock staging lanes. God bless us.

Hi Ken, thanks for the web site, but all that was there were people talking about the 69 Camaro that came after the max wedge Plymouth. I was still in the service when the Camaro was on the scene, and i don't remember it. There supposedly is a 1962 Plymouth racecar with the 383/343 somewhere in Elizabeth, N.J.. I would really like to find that car. It was a two tone brown.
See you at the track in a couple of months. JB

I seem to remember that the "deputy dog" 69 camaro was driven by a Frank Johanson (?sp). He seemed to be close with a John Mason. Not sure if he is from division six, but had another big block chevy.
