I don't trust copper or plastic tubing. I always use -4 braided hose.

thanks for the responses
dont know why it comes out of fitting up motor thru firewall but i think i will find fittings to replace with #4 braided line thanks again |

that way I can use a short hose from the engine to the firewall and disconnect it at the firewall . Makes it a lot easier than disconnecting at the engine on some cars.

that's a great idea tom. i just struggled with tightening the nut on my fitting at the rear of the block. i am going to use this suggestion. will be WAY easier

That's how I do it. I have a 90 deg hose end under the hood, at the firewall. I put the engine in with that short hose connected to the engine. When you get old and arthritic it's easier to screw that 90 deg hose end to the firewall than the other end to the fitting on the engine. LOL
