First:
My sincere sympathy to the Family of Mr.Sanchez.

Second:
With all of the safety equipment and safegaurds that are in place to prevent injuries it would be educational as well as to the benefit for the futrure safety of all racers to find what was the cause of his fatal injury.. We do not need the minute details but did the roll bar fail or were his belts not fastened properly or whatever it may have been.? Shortly new regulations concerning something that happened on the track that instant will be enacted. Hopefully it will make racing safer. Dick Ullrich FED 387

Couple of things:
Derek's services were today in Albuquerque NM. Family and friends were able to say good-bye to a top notch racer and most importantly, friend to many.
I know there are many-many questions about the accident/injuries.
Let's all give the family some breathing room, they were exposed to the worst 2 weeks of their lives.
Info will come out as need be and remember. This was not the only accident that night
