At divisional events they might have to call Glendora if they want to verify. Most of time they will just take your word. I renew at the last minute all the time.

I faxed by Competition Number renewal to Division 3 today and had it completely processed with an email reply including my temporary card in less than 30 minutes.
No problems!

I always include a polite note requesting an email of the temp credentials...then, if anything delays I give a quick call.
