I'm not sure how to respond to your last post. You caught me totally off guard on that one. I'm not exactly new at this. It's not even a consideration due to the proof on the car itself. It's the real deal. But to anyone that has doubts, I invite them to crawl around my car to see for themselves. I'll even show them what constitutes a real car. The car speaks for itself for anyone who knows what to look for. It's more than tags & stampings liteweight Last edited by Liteweight; 05-06-2013 at 09:27 AM. |

Might be different if you had NO history on the car.
The challenge, as I understand it, is to COMPLETE the book on this Hemi Dart. This forum has turned into a historical document on these cars. Because there are some still unaccounted for.......the mystery continues. |

Even if this car popped out of nowhere, with no history, the car itself proves exactly what it is. liteweight |

Where did this SS/B 1968 Dart end up.
Did Arlon Vanke get this Dart, and run it in A/MP in 1969. ![]() |

![]() Finally figured why I like your Dart so much. It is basic red and reminds me of the JRT Dart. First Hemi Dart I ever saw. Fast is pretty enough. Yours and his.....just sit right with me. |

A couple of 'open areas' where 1968 Hemi Darts could have been delivered in 1968 (zone areas).
* Montreal, Quebec * Connecticut (Central Area) * Massachusetts (Northeast Area) * New Jersey (Central Area) * Pennsylvania (Southeast Area) * Pennsylvania (South Central or Western Area) * Kentucky * Iowa * Missouri (Western Area) * Arizona * Pacific Northwest * California (Northern Area) |

I actually went down that track a few times, one day in the summer of '67. My cousin and I were on our way to Canada for Expo '67, the World's Fair that year. We stopped and spent the night at a campground near the airport. The next morning we discovered we were next to a dragstrip. Drove in the open gate, no one was there so we did what teenagers do. We made about 3 passes each! Coming back from the last trip down a guy shook his finger at us, smiling, and pointed towards the gate.
A yellow 1967 Dodge Coronet convertible at Niagra Dragway was my first time down a "real" quarter mile dragstrip at age 15. |
