SAME CAR ?..
.. (1973 NHRA US Nationals WINNER) bought FROM Roy and Mike McKinney..AFTER THEY bought it from Truman.

I heard Fields took a trade of a Burgundy '68 FB ..after that..ran it IHRA pure stock if I recall. And then bought another FB and THEN bought his orig 68 back from a barn find.

I'm confused.

Not confusing. This car is done in retro lettering as a tribute to the original car that won 2 US Nationals with 2 different drivers. The original car was sold last year to a guy who restored it back to stock.
In 2011 DRC did a story about me and this car and what it represents done like this.
This car was traded to Truman with money for his original car. BTW this car was originaly Verdo Green, not Burgandy. Truman owned this car from 1976 to 2012 when I purchased it. Hope this clears your confusion.

Great job my friend ,,, Like Billy said no one works harder at it . With those kind of track conditions and a stick car that's saying something !!! BTW Thanks for selling me a good car with the right set-up ,,,Now if we can just get the driver to perform like the car...............

Wow what a family tree...and your engine is even painted the proper blue.!

I was an 18 YO back in that day, with my 66 Pontiac GTO..and reading about this R/A 400 FB in the National Dragster..every week and wished it was mine.

BTW what is the factory/NHRA HP rating for your combo.?
Does it have the d port heads?

Thanx..
