We all got 2 hits today. 2 tomorrow as well before 1st rd in the afternoon. Someone must be listening about track conditions because they dragged the track after every other category. The humidity is supposed to increase as the weekend wears on so this first day qualifying may be the fastest times we post. They ran out of pit space and put about 40 of us in "no man's land" out by the finish line. It actually isn't that bad, just a long ways away.

Wow 4 hits is pretty sweet I don't think I've ever gotten more than 2 at a national event since I started racing. I think this will be the largest spectator turnout of the season. Guess we will find out tomorrow. Are there any stick cars in super stock, what happened to Filipone?

6 am Friday, another nice day,
They seem to be spending lots of time dragging the track. After racing last night they ground the starting line . The parking turned out much better than I expected. It has rained so much in the whole New England area that the ground is saturated everywhere within 2-300 miles. There are some wet pit areas, but it is drying out fast. There were many impressive runs yesterday, I watched super stock both runs and props to 3 racers that made great runs in both sessions Mark Markow , Scott Gove, and John Armstrong,, some runs are just a thing of beauty.

Just got back from Friday qualifying and it was a packed house. Track looks to be in great shape. Stick cars were spinning pretty badly though.. Everyone else appeared to be running well. I hope sat and sun pack them in. They say the surface is very smooth.

There were bald spots on the starting line in both lanes, despite repeating track dragging. You had to carefully avoid them when staging. Not everyone was able to, resulting in some unhappy campers.
