Please click on the link in my signature or Mom's signature for video of the Jeg's All-Star race. Go to the blog section of the website.

Included is the Stock Heads up of Taylor and Glasbrenner.

Ya Mark, I should have stressed that. The amount of almost worthless dollars it takes to race is a big, big part of what's killing us.

Sorry about the quality of the video! I still don't quite have the hang of videoing with my cell phone. Is there a way to zoom on a cell phone video?

Chicago always looks like a ghost town everytime I see it on TV. I think when they built Route 66 it was during the stadium style craze with seating and the economy was good. I mean Chicago may have had the same amount of people as Epping did but, Epping has smaller grandstands (Maybe 20 rows high) that spread people out along the race track and makes it look full for the TV. Trust me from the reports I heard from people Epping WAS PACKED. Chicago is like 50 rows high so even if they draw a good crowd it looks bare. Maybe It's time for some of this tracks that have that type of seating to look into downgrading. I heard Daytona is knocking down all the back stretch grandstands in a renovation project so that they can fill everyone in on the front stretch to make it look like a bigger crowd for the 500.

Remember Chicago used to have 2 NHRA Nationals but, they took 1 away because they said they didn't draw a crowd.

Thanks once again Larry and Patsy for doing the live reporting, maybe one day you'll make a wrong turn and come East to E-Town or Maple Grove!

It could happen,,,, they once made a wrong turn and ended up in Seattle! For their efforts,, they were handed a west coast rule book and a bottle of one of our local wines,, a fair trade I think.

Actually, RT 66 gave it away because they didn't want it in the first place. The facility manager himself told me they were afraid it would simply split the crowd from the first race into 2 crowds, it would not draw double the people. That was before the second event occurred, and he was right.

Actually i thought the crowd at Rt 66 over the weekend was one of the better ones they have had in a few years. There are quite a few fans standing along the track, and quite a few along motor homes on the north side of the track. Those tall grand stands always look empty.
