"Live" from Norwalk 2013

Bill Bader, Jr. came by the motorhome this afternoon and presented Larry with a special trophy that was made for all of the winners of this race last year. He said it did not get ready in time for the race last year, but he was in the process of tracking down everyone who won so he could give them this very special trophy!

The trophy is in a walnut box and it is an engraved ice cream scoop made out of stainless steel (I think). It is really cool. Here are some close-ups:

This place is the best class act on the tour!

We hope everyone has an opportunity to win an ice cream scoop in their lifetime!

We have been watching some really cool fireworks here tonight. The Baders went all out as usual.

I took some pics during round 1 of super stock. I will post a few tonight and finish up tomorrow. What was really great is they got to run in front of an audience. They ran between rounds of pros and most people stayed in the stands to watch.

I warmed up the camera on a couple of Pro Mods.

Where is the like button?

I posted a picture on Facebook of my comp car doing a wheelie at the Norwalk points race. Two of the track people are in the background in tuxes. One of my friends asked me why were they wearing tuxes and my response was that the Baders run a first class operation, as reflected by the tuxes.

Stripped the old decal off the hood to make room for something new... love my decals! Came off clean in one pull, with no residue underneath, just a 1/32 edge around the outside which cleaned up quick n' easy. She looks nekkid though...

That's better! (Never mind the ding from the old days off a too-long air cleaner stud... doh!)
