Default Racers Helping Children

Allen and Eugene Coard and Chris 3 Racing had our race cars on display as part of a classic car display fund raiser for the Children's Miracle Network at Dairy Queen in Raleigh Thurday. The parents and young people spent a lot of time looking at the cars and asking questions. We gave out a lot of photos. Eugene had a gentleman ask him Where do you guys go to race? enough said about that question again.

The fun part of the evening were two families who came up with two little boys, probably 3 or 4 years old, the first little boy got into the Ron Lyles car. The second little boy got in the Carolina Twister. Eugene and I, both been drag racing for over 45 years, stood watching and all of a sudden both boys looked out the window at each other like, Okay it is on.

If you ever have an opportunity or are requested to bring your car to an event like this, please cease the opportunity to get out and promote drag racing and have fun watching the young people. And I will not be surprised that some do not show up today at Dunn Benson Dragstrip to see the car run.
