Kevin, it's nice to see your name on the entry list. I'll be sure to pop by your pit to say hello.

Any updates? Last we heard you enter at gate B [just to the left of main entrance]. NHRA officials have "guided" racers to an "ideal" spot late Wed mornings in the past. Maybe this is just an avoidance of Johnson Rd.

Pack a lunch...this is going to be a cluster! I'm trying for the life of me to figure out how they are going to park 320 + Sportsman rigs between the hours of 10am-6pm (which is whats listed for Parking Hrs), on Wednesday and get us all teched in.
The area inside Gate B can't hold more than 50-60 rigs...then try to negotiate the turn inside the gate. Watching Parking, could just be worth the price of a ticket!

I just called BIR, they confirmed what Bill posted, parking at 7:00 AM on Wednesday on the road course, then NHRA will start to park the sportsmen racers at noon. I told them that 200 cars and trailers were going to be there tomorrow (Tuesday). It will be bad.

Just being as accommodating as they can... why avoid the hassles and make it easy on the racers? Then you might forget you were at an NHRA National Event...can't let that happen!
I loved the atmosphere of those racers but the rudeness and "policies in effect" just don't lure me anymore. On a good note... I thought the Stock/Super Stock combo at CFR last weekend was AWESOME. Great car count, FAST cars and NO HASSLES> Just like the old days. I think it paid $1750 to win Saturday, not sure what NHRA paid Sunday...less I am sure. Good luck at Brainerd to all, |
