Only 80% of the spots filled. Should have plenty of room.
I guess NHRA's enhancements are starting to kick in.

Event total allowed 962. actual entries 762
163 paying sportsman entries not filled. That is quite a bit of entry money.

What is kind of ironic is that Super Gas and Super Comp are ALL RUN fields,and they couldn't even get 128 cars in each class. Stock has a 128 car qualified field,and almost met quota at 180. Looks like Stock is getting to be a pretty popular category.Super Comp and Super Gas appear to be losing interest. |

80% is about average for the season.
Fuel costs, and basically an entire week (vacation time) to run the event has more to do with it than anything IMO.
