I use the Hoosier DOT's for Pure Stock and get as many as 200 runs out of them.

Most tracks are well prepared and need little buffing.
Get them spinning see smoke and roll out..

The new tires seem to be a bit more rugged, last longer and have good consistent bite.

However my car is heavy and may not be as sensitive to the vulcanization from repeated heat during burnout.

103 and counting Goodyear 4457, swap them side to side every four to six runs. I use a light burn out in 2nd gear and go race. 3600lbs. car with almost 600 ft./lbs. of torque.

Larry,

How long does it take for you to make 103 runs?

I haven't made that many in the last two years.Too many first round losses, I guess.Congrats on your latest win.

Larry, Kenny Faulk is who told me the Goodyears tend go away sooner on Amy's Stocker. Probably 5 years ago. May not still be the case.

I have one set. Hook as well as the MTs on good tracks. Not as well for me on marginal tracks. Only about 15 passes. They slow my car down 4 to 5 Hundredths.
(5lbs each heavier, I assume that 10lbs more rotating weight on a 31" circle is why) therefore I have not run them long enough to actually know when they would go away.

Sure would like to sell them.

Since I don't actually know from experience, I should have kept quiet. Sorry.

I'll get the numbers off the tires tomorrow. They measure same as my 13" X 31" MTs. Both are radials.

I ran most of the races from Pomona to Englishtown and back again and I put fresh rubber on the car at every national event. Hand picked them as well and swapped them side to side every round. Just one more variable eliminated.
