Ed, he is 26th out of 54 that bracket race at his track. Not bad, he is in the top half and he is there every week (his words).... A couple of years ago, I finished top 10 with my 6 cylinder Jeep Cherokee, and only raced 4 races of pro bracket racing at our local strip. I'm not saying my Cherokee is faster....I'm just saying. I could have finished in the top 5 put my AC kicked on in the finals of the last race and I couldn't run the number. It is amazing how many things can screw you up when you are bracket racing.

that's your problem, you assume and think you know and where I am in points has nothing to do with header tethers. But if you must know, I'm at Numidia every points weekend except for those weekends that I am on the road with my son so he can compete at the IHRA Finals at MIR, the ECF at Bristol and the NHRA Division 1 Finals at Mason Dixon. Oh and he ain't leading the points, he's the track champion as he was last year.
Don't care what you did at your duck pond in bum f-ck, it ain't numidia dragway which boosts back to back team championships(2011 - 2012) as well the 2010 Super and 2012 Pro ET winners(same guy too, different cars) and without question home the toughest bracket racers in all of nhra division 1. show me one. Again you assume and think you know. I'll save you the trouble, there ain't one! The quickest and fastest Stocker is an '08 Mustang that ran 8.89 @ 154.14, 13 months ago at Maple Grove! Indy was days ago, my info was from ND as of 8/23/13 and there still ain't one that's "much faster" than my "rocket" despite costing far more than my junk but none of this has to do with collector tethers that are now required! The whiners need to get over it and pay your $!

So, anyway...back to the topic at hand, but slightly away from it...
The NHRA rulebook states that only cars equipped with an exhaust requiring a tether must adhere to the rule next year. What about motorcycles? I noticed a PSM racer lost part of it's exhaust well past half track during qualifying last week at the U.S. Nats. Just wondering. Ivan. |

I have never seen a collector fall off when it's held on at two different places. I had one fall off a couple of years ago when it was being he'd by one tab and the weld broke. If you mandated two different places for the collector to be held on to the header I think you would solve any problem you have.
