I see drc is reporting Ed Wright won but was dq for going by the scales. Can't believe he would that intentionally. Hate to hear that.

I would bet that Ed did drive by the scales on purpose...that way it puts the SS/B car back in. Ed really slowed on his second round win (like 6 seconds)....the SS/B car was late by about 1/2 a second, but broke out. What that tells me is that Ed's car was hurt and being the person he is, told the other guy "don't red light"....

Wish it was something that heroic. LOL
I had problems with it very low on power in class run-offs. Extremely lazy, would not turn a tire. On the return road it sounded kinda like it was running on 4 cylinders. Inside the car it sounded like only the left bank was firing. I changed the MSD box and ECU. Sounded OK. Decided to have MSD check the box. They declared it bad. You could see it would not fire the coil consistently. They gave me a plastic-like card to write the RMA on to put in the box with the unit when I send it in. I decided to put the other ECU back in since I had never run the new one. Ran OK first round. Had a heads-up. Changed nothing 2nd round, ran bad again. I knew I was in trouble when I started it to pull into the water. Only hope I thought I had would be a red light. I looked for a win light about half track, nothing. Figured I was done. Never thought about Mr. Kent (very nice gentleman) breaking out. Did not look at the win lights again, was so frustrated I didn't even look at my time slip. Found out I won (and screwed up) back at the trailer. I ain't just real bright. Btw, everybody I talked to found track prep excellent all weekend. Those guys did a stellar job. I believe many 60' times were by the rear tires. Lots of cars straight up in the air.

Ed...from my experience I would advise you NOT to send your MSD box in for them to test. A big waste of time and money. Toss it out or send it to the guy that posts on here sometimes that works on them.

Rich, they already tested it and found it defective. I'm to send it in with the card they gave me to be repaired. Two guys tested it in the trailer. First guy asked a second guy to look at it too. They agreed it had a problem. Pretty obvious when the spark was not steady.

Be careful sending your MSD box to Techwest. I sent them one about 3 months ago and cannot get them on the phone or an email. I am having to buy a replacement box.
