There aren't alot of choices for cylinder heads so I would assume its W7/W8/W9 headed small block thats stroked and bored a little bit. Wes Leopold ran a 396ci W8 SBM combo for years in SS/AS for years before moving to the P5 SB Hemi motor.

Super Stock is done with there first qualifying shot. Super Gas is running now.

Super Stock in the lanes photos...

They are running first round of Super Comp, Super Stock is out next for first round of class. The weather is very warm 85, and most stockers ran about 10 slower than there early morning shot.

We are all done for the day, Super Stock just finished the last round of class. All in all it was a smooth day. Stock is out tomorrow at 8:45 for first round.

The in car cam is brought to by Jack Sepanek in his 1969 SS/BA. It was the first round of Class. Jack was racing Anthony Bongiovanni in his 08 Cobra Jet.

Good evening gang - I must admit it - today was most probably one of the nicest race days I can remember as you couldn't ask for any better .We were give a super good track to race on for the most part , the air during the first session was killer , and then there were the blue skies and sunshine - what more would a racer want ? If you are a sportsman competitor you had no bad classes to contend with today - no nitro or alcohol to ruin things ! !

On top of that some of the fields were reduced in half as Super/ Gas and Super/Comp ran their first rounds without any hitches .
