I always wait at the scale and fuel check for my opponent. While I haven't been lucky enough to be reinstated, my Dad was at the Gators a few years back when his opponent drove past the scales while he waited.
I have also made it a habit making sure an official tells me that I do or do not need weight and fuel after a round win. I have seen where racers have driven right on by after a round win without thinking they needed to stop. Jeff Jewell |

When I lose,I do not wait at the scales.I am of the opinion that unless it was a heads up race,I really don't care what the weight of their car was.I lost and load up.

I don't know the details, but Ryan and his dad are absolute first class straight shooters. There must have been some communication breakdown.

In regards to my dad's DQ first round in Reading today, he did in fact cross the scales and weigh. He was disqualified for not stopping at fuel check. My dad said he didn't see anyone motioning for him to go to fuel check so he continued on. When we found out from another racer that he was listed as a DQ on drag central, my dad went to the tech trailer and an official said he was motioning for my dad to go to fuel check. Nobody's fault. Just another bizzare way to lose I guess.

How often do cars fail weight and or fuel check during elimanations?
Seams like a waste of time for the most part. |

I do agree its crazy even checking it unless its a heads up run. But I'm sure they have their reasons.
