Thanks for the info Denny. Hey, I like the shot of Mt. Rainier in the background,, you can see the "elks head" glacier from your location,,, possibly between Enumclaw and Buckley? By the way,, very nice "Cuda with a lot of history. Take care.

Same car as previously mentioned (Slippery Fish) or did they have another? Part of Liteweight's report from the 2014 Hemi Reunion: The car count was really lite. There were only 2 original LO cars. Dan Morgan had his there along with mine. Rob Hall brought his Banning & Slaughter BO, & Kramer brought the original Faubel 65 AFX car. There were only a couple A990 cars in attendance, one being the Steve Bagwell car. |

Banning and Slaughter....
Didn't S.E. Buchanan drive this one for a bit? I also remember Steve (Steve's Speed Shop, Little Rock Ar} may have driven it as well. Still thinking it was a real one. Maybe they had two??????? Dwight? Rob? chime in maybe. Last edited by Charlie A; 10-07-2013 at 12:29 PM. |

Is $2,000 reasonable? I would hate to have to ship them.

I don't believe the Banning & Slaughter car was a real car. Seems that I remember talking to S.E. during the time they were building the car and the car was a street car. Steve would be a good person to ask. Verne Buchanan, S.E.'s brother, or Jim Kuntz would probably know a lot about the build of that car too. I can also contact Tommy Slaughter or Jim Hale if it is necessary.

Daryl,
Your recent mention of this car at the Hemi show is kind of what triggered the idea of two cars. This one and the "Slippery Fish". Unless..........they are one in the same. ![]() Isn't this fun ???????? |
