Anyone know somebody at MAV TV? I could see them spending the weekend and providing a couple "TV Events" worth of coverage.
Maybe Michael could meet up with them at the PRI Show???

Now THAT would get under the skin of some big wheels at Glendora ;-)

We will be having LIVE video all three days from Mark Walter and the crew at www.motormaniatv.com. Video is also archived and available to watch after the event. They have a substantial established audience, and do a tremendous job with fully-produced multi-camera footage accompanied by the PA broadcast.

At last count, we have two from Canada and four from New York booked into rooms at Hebron for the race. Sounds like a great time, thanks Mike!

Truth be told Dave, they had rooms booked before the rest of us. They are coming down for a visit this Saturday, will have to bribe (read beer) some speed secrets out of the Monza driver! LOL

Mike:

Lyn Smith just emailed me and suggested discussing the Pure Stock Rules and made several good points.

Such as a point you made earlier that Stockers just cannot show up with mufflers added and call themselves Pure Stockers.

The Prime Differences are the Following;

Full Time Mechanical Water Pump
Full Muffler System. My car still has CATS on them.
IHRA certified Pure Stocker Cam and Stock Spring Pressures
Stock Rods, Beams can be Polished to reduce fractures.
Maximum 9 inch Slick diameter is 29 inches
Any DOT tagged Rear Tire is ok.
Can run Pump Fuel, race optional.
Roll Bar needed if the car runs under 11.50ET
Which means Certified Seat Belts, otherwise Stock Seat Belts are ok.

Most everything else is the same unless I missed something.

Optional working AC beneficial for Summer

Dan

PURE STOCK - refer to IHRA Rulebook, page 47, available online at http://www.mydigitalpublication.com/...tion/?i=136499

Tech officials Danny Waters, Sr and Jim Woods can also answer technical questions regarding these classes.

Before some asks.... What is the Junior Stock Shootout? :

From the Class Racer thread for the event:
Jeff Ross, founder of the Buckeye S/SS Series, approached me with an idea for a Junior Stock Shootout. The race would be for any car with an Index of 13.00 or slower (Note: cerRemember, we are running off the 'old indexes', so that would be L/SA on down, D/PS on down, etc.) Standard eliminator format: handicapped, sportsman ladder, heads-up runs in effect when applicable. The Quick 32 CIC races on Friday night are certainly going to need a little cooldown time between rounds. By my estimate, Junior Stock would probably be about 25-32 cars, so they should fit in there nicely. (No double entries: i.e., can't run both Quick 32 and Jr Stock)

Just like Class and the Quick 32's, there will be no additional entry fee for Junior Stock participants. Jeff has put up $500/Win and $200/RU. We'll see if we can get some other sponsors to add to the purse. At worst, Loose Rocker Promotions will make sure that Semis get $100, and an Iron Tree trophy for the winner like all the other classes.

You can find all the Buckeye S/SS Series info right here on ClassRacer

While we're wrapping up post-race coverage of our $20K American Doorslammer Nationals and preparing for our $20K Fall Footbrake Frenzy V, Loose Rocker Promotions is also looking ahead to the PRI show coming up at Indy next month. We spoke with a number of companies this summer that expressed a keen interest in the Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals, but don't do their budgets until over the winter. We'll follow up with these and other companies at PRI and throughout the winter months and continue to add sponsors to the greatest Stock and Super Stock event in over a decade!
