I'm watching it right now,,(9:25pm Pacific time), not a bad episode compared to some they do. A little clowning around as usual,, but nice footage of the COPO factory. I liked the engine building segment. I'm curious how this will end up.Heritage museum trip was very cool. Catch it if you can. By the way, the previous episode with Mark Cuban and the '55 Ford was pretty cool.

It's bad enough that the dealers put $5 to $10k on the window stickers, but now GM is allowing a TV dipstick to peddle the COPO Camaro's. What a farse, this way he can put $30k ademendment sticker on the window because it went through his shop and they put his stupid logo on the cars. GM would have been better servered if they sold the cars to a shop like Don Ness, at least his vehicles are known for their quality and his logo represents that.

Dragzine did a blogpost about this car earlier in the year. It was a "featured" car at Barrett-Jackson in August, and hammered away for $130,000. I'll assume the Gas Monkey crew took cash (and maybe a few cases of beer!).
I also seem to remember that Gas Monkey was also involved with a deal to "build to order" some (or all!) of the COPO Body-in-White cars for their customers, but I never heard any confirmation. For my money they could have left those hideous decals off the car, and I'm still trying to figure out what the reason was to bury the serialized "build-sheet" under the headliner that is never coming out! I guess you needed to have a few beers in you!! ![]()
