Thank you all for sharing your knowledge. I myself had never seen one, but I've been told to "never say never"! I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to repeat my "buy three and get two boat anchor's" fiasco of two years ago.

Now I have some shopping to do!

Race Engineering offers main bearing spacers that allow the use of conventional small journal bearings in a medium journal block.

http://www.raceeng.com/p-7689-bearin...27-to-350.aspx

I used a set of these in a 350 block with a 283 crank and they worked fine. Be sure to check the tang notches though, the one for the rear main was slightly off location on my set which required a little hand-fitting to avoid binding the bearing, no big deal but it does need to be checked.

Dart will cast you anything you want in a block within reason. ANYTHING! But, be prepared to spend some $'s.

Speaking of Dart, they just recently released a LIL M 305 BLOCK. See it at Dart heads news release. Could be just what someone is looking for.

If you follow any dirt track racing, you'll know there are lot of 305 RaceSaver Sprint cars in the country now. I'm sure this block with find its way into some framerails.
