I am probably jumping the gun on this one, but are there any thoughts on the index's that the Cobra Jets/Copo's (FX) cars will be running on? Just curious about the Quick 32 portion of the event.

The 'new' cars will be running in their own "FX" classes to separate them out from the 'traditional' Stockers, but will utilize the same HP/weight breaks/indexes. We are going to rely on NHRA's HP factors for this first year. It is not my intention to do NHRA's job and try to refactor every combination, particularly without our own data. Invariably, someone would feel that cars were hit with too much HP, and others would say not enough. I don't want to try to become a complete sanctioning body for one annual event. We'll get this first year under our belt and reexamine for 2015. The Quick Fuel Quick 32 CIC Shootouts are Free Entry bonus races -- and that's one of the reasons why.

So you going to group EVERY new factory car into one FX class?

No. Again, the new factory cars will run at their regular HP and weight break, etc. They will not have to make any changes to their car, other than adding an "FX" prefix to their class designation. (I will provide the decals, or they can shoe polish it... as long as it's right on the tech card and in the computer, we're fine.) For example, your car would be FXCC/SA.
