I think in the long run it would be cheaper to use a newer mustang body if you got one that did not need paint or body work. I'm working on a mustang stocker now and I have less in the basic body than I would have in restoring a 1970-80 body. My original plan was to build a GT new mustang with a FE big block. like a real 428CJ in a newer CJ. The new mustang body would cost less than a 69 or 70 mustang.
