Does anyone know why the Stock and Super Stock quota's for Denver and Seattle are so low? They seem to be about half of the other races!
Thanks!

Lew, the quotas are consistent with prior year car counts. Denver's actual count was in the twenty's last year for both classes and Seattle's SS count was also in the twenty's. There were threads that addressed the reasons for that and you can search the forum for those...I'd do that but kind of a touchy subject.

Parking space has always been a big issue at Seattle. Not much space.

Bandimer Mile High Nationals.
Stock 2010 there were 39 entries. 2011 there were 35 entries. 2012 there were 28 entries. 2013 had 32 entries. You have to have to be able to take a fogging and have thick skin if you want to race SS/Stock here. Not much love for us. ![]()

In Denver we are consistantly parked approximately a mile
from start. For class we are not allowed to tow to where our competitors are pitted but must drive all the way up. My car is usally 160-180 by the time I get to my competitors pits. Our cars have a tough enough time in class without spotting them a Hot engine. Five years ago or so....I towed to my competitors pit and started my car there and nearly got a year suspension.......The officials still b*tch me out to this day about my "Infraction" three or four times a year. I got down to last four in eliminator which is way better than I normally ever do at my advanced age......But I doubt that I will ever show up at that track again! Did you happen to look at the quotas for Brainerd? I can't recall a year in the past 25 where there have been more than 30-40 cars in Super Stock. It's a long drive to the middle of nowhere, to run at a track that is almost never fast (especially since NHRA dropped the altitude factor).

How about a all pro event at Denver. Then the sportsman will not have to park out back.
