I was going to take a whack at "G" before I read this. Maybe I'll try bumping the very stout "H" record down a notch instead. We'll need the kind of weather you get every other year at the Atco National Open, along with no headwind.

Painter no way do I want the 350/255 get HP. I would have to listen to Perrone, Harper, Infintino, Curcio, Briglio, Baily and others wine about getting HP.. Just trying to protect my friends combo.

Now that is funny. hahahahaha

This is fun. Especially when a bracket racer has all the answers. I'm certain the Prostock racers from La are beating his door down looking for help. You know it mite be fun to listen to Perrone but Baily mite hurt himself, I really wonder what Parker is really thinking about doing. I was going to Gainesville but the race was the wrong weekend.

You drama queens have taken a simple suggestion and blown it way out of proportion.

I'm considering making a couple of NMCA races in 2014 just for the fun of it. Our car would fit perfectly in the Nostalgia Musclecar class. (That biga$$ windshield decal really sucks tho)

When you win the bracket finals or do something that stands out from the guys that you race with and against maybe you will become relevant. Until then you are a nobody in our world, and on this site. have a nice life.
X2!!!
Treekiller there are classes for you every where in the country every weekend go play in that sand box and leave ours alone!

Drama queens?? I don't think so,,, YOUR'E the no namer that put his hand in the bee hive and now its so swollen you can't stick your thumb back where it came from. I'm a bracket racer for over 40 years and you're making my stomach churn.
If you don't understand the type of racing these ladies and gentlemen are involved in, you're better off staying off this site and having people think you're a fool, than typing your "suggestions" and having people KNOW you're a fool.
These folks put in a lot of time and effort and yes, some money, to make their cars run as well as they do within a very strict set of rules and regulations. I've followed and admired Stock and Superstock racing since 1968, and I enjoy what they do, even though I have no dog in the fight. I enjoy watching the heads up runs when they do occur, but theres more to it than that. I enjoy seeing a racer get a record, and then put the car in "bracket mode" and work their way through eliminations as skillfully and tenaciously as you ever will.
They certainly don't need me to defend them or class racing, they're doing fine themselves. I just get tired of no namers coming on here talking smack when they're in an entirely different type of racing.
Treekiller?? I'm 60 and I've got a stack of .00 timeslips, but who cares?? Its not the same game that we're talking here. I'm going to Columbus in May,,, maybe I'll see you there.
By the way,, Yellowbullet is a website where guys like you do all their flaming,, check it out.

I'll tell you why, because the rules don't suit them, that's why and people feel the NHRA should exist for their own personal purpose.

It's called evolution people. There isn't one other class in NHRA where you can be competitive with old equipment. Okay, so one guy wins here and there with no throttle stop in Super Street, but you don't see cars from the '80s and '90s winning in the .90 classes. Why should it be a "right" to be competitive with an old race car when there is new, better technology available? Should NHRA ignore the new cars? Well then you'd have a nostalgia series, at least until everyone got old and quit racing, then you'd have nothing.

Racers get out of the sport for many reasons and I'm sure some decided they didn't want to compete against new cars, but to make a blanket statement that a mass of racers were pushed out is just not factual. And, for all who've quit, there are many new racers.

Please keep in mind that I love muscle cars from the 60s and 70s and I would love to see them continue on. I also own a 20-year old Stocker and I know it's day in the sun has passed. It's competitive, but who cares about that? It's my choice to update or be content racing a car that is outdated. Everyone else has the same choice.
So with this logic I should sell my 'old' 66 Chevy II because it can't compete? I guess everyone with a pre 2007 car should put them on racing junk. I happen to like my car thank you very much.
