A lot of cars built in the late '70's and into the '80's that were built around a tire like the 12.2x31.25 or the older 14x32's are running the Hoosier 31.5x12.5 DO5 tire.
It's a stiff sidewall tire.

Check the website for the size info.

Definatly tubeless.
Saves at least 12-14 pounds of rotating mass.

Don't be afraid to try a narrower Hoosier if that's all they make. The traction is better.

Hoosiers, I usually get ~125-150 passes on my S/C dragster then the 60' times become inconsistent.

Talking Re: Goodyear or Hoosier ???

Neither
Mickey Thompson ALL the way, I used to have Hoosiers on my dragster, and I made the switch to M/T my car got WAAAYYY more consistent. Then my father had switched from Goodyears on his Vega, and got a set of M/T on the car, first race, was in the finals. I will give you one good reason why M/T are superior, if you wanted to go in the 7s with a 10.5 radial tire, which tire brand would you choose? (EVERYONE runs a M/T) and you want to run on the stop with a 14x32 or a 16x33....Mickey Thompson all the way.
