Bottom line a major sponsor assures the organization lives. Thats how it affects the Sportsman racers. The racing can continue. Guess Anything which contributes to the continuation of NHRA helps everyone who wants to race. Our small sponsors from the 70s, 80s etc could not hope to contribute the cash that is needed even if all combined.
The stakes became too high for most to continue to officially sponsor Class or Eliminator money at so many events and lose the money if their product wasnt used by the racer. |

any way to bring money into NHRA is a good thing, Maybe NHRA should have a electric car in Pro stock, then the $100K usa made tesla could be official car. Video out there of a Tesla running similar 1/4 times as a new zo6 corvette. weighs 1000# more than the corvette.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Datsun at one time the official car back in the 70s? I can't remember where I read that, maybe someone remembers from way back in the day.
