Years ago a company made plastic spark plugs that were filled with desiccant, {silica gel}
Had no problems after using them, only needed to stick them in the oven when removed.
Dan Dvorak also sold header plugs filled the same way. Both took care of all the problems, all you had to do is cap the carb. Buy some silica and improvise, make your own.
