Thanks Alan. I responded to your email to Oliver Connecting Rods about torque specs for our bolts. Let me know if you guys need anything.

Never got it. We've been having issues with our email during our network change over.

I had a 305 El Camino.....78 or 79...It had a Metric trans in it.

I swapped in a T-350 when the 200 started going bad and it really slowed that car down. I raced it in street et before and after the trans change. A total dog with the T-350......engine had wrong stuff on it for the rear gear and the trans swap aggravated it.....

I would think that the lower gear ratios of the TH-200 really helped the lower HP 305. The TH-200 has a 2.75 1st, while the TH-350 is 2.52. Plus the added rotating weight that the TH-350 has as well. That's probably why the car was a dog after the swap.

Yes on both accounts.

I rebuilt the engine. Put to big a cam in it and the intake was also a poor choice. It had very a very high rear gear in it and add all that up and it was incredibly slow.

I shallow staged it the first time I raced it......used only first and second and the next time I raced it....I deep staged it and had it stalled as high as it would go and just let go of the brake.....I was hitting good Rt's like that...
I think it slowed down about 1 second with those changes.

Way too slow for me.....17 seconds. I was in between racecars and did it for fun...

Lost in the semis by .001 pedaling with the radio on and looking out the back window....LOL
