Does this not apply to you guys?
"Even racers who don’t drive a COPO Camaro can win contingency money. In the NHRA Mellow Yellow Series, racers are eligible for payouts when using a Chevrolet Performance cylinder block or cylinder heads. In fact, they can double up on the payout when running both the block and heads. In the Pro Stock class, for example, Chevrolet Performance pays $500 for a win and $100 for the runner up if the racer uses a Chevrolet Performance engine block or cylinder heads. That means a winner can collect $1,000 for a win with an engine using the block and heads. A similar payout schedule of $300 for a win and $100 for runner-up are available for sportsman racers running a Chevrolet Performance block or heads – or $600/$200 for an engine with both the block and heads – in the following categories: •Competition •Super Stock •Stock •Super Comp •Super Gas •Super Street •Top Sportsman •Top Dragster. Racers must display the Chevrolet Performance decal. The previous GM Performance Parts decals are invalid for contingency payouts. Go to nhraracer.com for contingency program details." |

And a note of thanks to all us taxpayers that let GM owners under pay for the vehicles while we suffered the loss on US treasury sale of "New GM" stock would be really nice! |

Chevy paid us one year for older cars. Ford and Chrysler both pay older cars. I guess Chevy feels like they don't have to but it would be nice for those of us who have run their stuff for 30 or 40 years.
