Joe,
Might be a bit warmer viewing the excellent coverage at home, can't beat being there! Thanks to friends Johnny and Mr D. I was able to relax with them at Hotel Diekema while you walked the lanes. |

This was the most fun I've had, despite not winning anything, in a long time! Met old friends I haven't seen in a while, made new friends from classracer.com as well as other forums and I just want to do it again!
Thank you Michael, Anthony, sponsors and everyone else involved in making this a memorable weekend.......and especially Alex Denysenko, who's vision and selfless hard work to have the original U.S. Class Nationals in 2001 provided the incentive for this one and hopefully more.

WOW I am impressed by the feedback and fun we all had.
Mike Beard and your crew thank you for letting my company to sponsor the Pure Stock Challenge It was a blast and think we made a good impression. Got to know the Tech Officials real well and promise never to make a faux-paux about fuel checks again ![]() DanSources is a IT Consulting and Technical Staffing company and not the mainstream auto service or manufacturing that normally sponsors these events. Hope this sets a trend to bring in more non-standard sponsors to support our sport.. I met so many people, made a lot of new friends, took a lot of pictures, saw a tom of amazing racing. Wish I had a notebook to log all their names. At least we have ClassRacer to help remind this old brain. Going to be working with Lloyd Riley, who Sponsored the Highest Qualified Pure Stocker, and collaborate on how to make Pure Stock better. See if we can double the count next year. That weekend I got a lot of exercise pulling the tires off an on the car over the weekend. My daily working out paid off. Saturday the wind pounded my Canopy. Sunday totally wrecked it. Getting parts for it was going to be a pain so I trashed it and ordered a new one. FWIW the drive home was beautiful . Wonderful vistas and going through historical towns made it fun. Though at times construction clogged up a uneventful 7 plus hour trip back home. As I got closer to Frederick the "desperate driving nut cases" made making the last 50 miles a pain. Some people are just insane tailgating at 70mph trying to go faster than the traffic will allow. I want to thank all my new Pure Stocker friends for showing up. After taking all the grief from some racers over the last year. Think we did good !! d |
