Thanks. What year did you purchase it? Was it more or less in the condition as seen in the picture?

Who's behind the wheel? It doesn't look like Ronnie Sox. I know Don Carlton drove one of
S & M's 1968-turned-1969 Barracudas in Pro Stock but it doesn't look like him behind the wheel either.

When I bought the car it was in his garage with 4 flats no intake manifold and had not been run since the partnership broke up (couple of years). I always loved the car. When I called Alan I got lucky he still had it. I paid $10,000.00 in 1980 I think it was 80 not sure, but believe me that was a lot of money. I had to borrow the money from my in-laws. I wish I had taken a picture it was a true barn find. I had some of the best times with that car and should have never sold it.

You'll never guess who I ran into today at a huge car auction (ADESA) here in central New Jersey. Go ahead, guess. That's right, Alan Halsey! He along with yours truly is one of over one-hundred fifty drivers that work at the auction every Thursday, and today Alan and I just so happened to be assigned to the same group of drivers.

If I hadn't of listened in on a conversation he and another guy were having about old VW's, which eventually got around to drag racing and VW's, I would've never chimed in and Alan would've never told me he ran Hemi Super Stockers in the 1970s. Small world, huh?

I told Alan about this forum, mentioned this post and sent him the links. Hopefully he will sign up soon and join the conversation with more info.
