We were done early too. All D4 racers need to lobby to get this race out of the summer heat! How someone didn't drop out from the heat is a miracle!

You are so right Brett. George almost fell out several times. When we were not getting ready to make a run, we were in the living quarters with the A/C cranked up loud! When it was time to load up, we did it a little at the time.

I don't want to hear you all complaining about the heat. This is what you live for, racing, in all kind of absurd conditions. Do you want it to be snowing, high winds, raining, absolute cold, or what. It's hot out, get used to it, bring out the swimming trunks and play in the spickot. Dial you car for "hot" and go from there. You can always take clothes off, but it's better than having multi layers of clothes on to get warm. I notice that every picture of racers all had smiles on their faces, was it for the camera, or for the conditions. Ain't summer great, and were not even there yet.
Great looking breakfast there Larry, them Cajun boys will capture your taste buds forever. Jimmy and Co. will make you want to move there. Ron Ortiz U/SA Is it hot out or is it them crawdads.

Pat, I would be glad to email it to you! I was taking someone else's picture whenever Kevin pulled up and he just got out of the car and started posing for me!!
We finally got home and got to the birthday party in time to see the last skate of the afternoon! But at least we got there, safe and sound, and with no more instances! |
