Not a fan of buybacks. However IF THERE IS SHOE POLISH INVOLVED IT IS A BRACKET RACE No matter what!
There is nothing cooler than Stock or Superstock but with the exception of heads up runs IT IS A BRACKET RACE!

NO BUYBACKS!!!!! EVER!!!!!

Thats why the call it eliminations!! You lose, go home, go away, I don't want to see you again

Buybacks turns racing into gambling and should be illegal

Lets think about this in a rational and beneficial way.

No buy backs, it is eliminations, you lose, your out, end of conversation.

All first and second round losers are eligible for a consolation race, at a reasonable price, for a reasonable purse for the winner only, as it is now considered double elimination.

Everybody wins, the track, racers, sponsors (exposure), losers.

This way no egos are hurt, there is still an all out winner, and the early round losers have a second chance to race. What would be the problem?

Why not give everyone a "Participation Wally."

This is stupid...

Even T-ball kids know the score, and who won or lost when the score is not kept.

If you don't like the rules take your stocker or superstocker and go to your local bracket race. The bonus is they don't weigh, have fuel check, or heads up runs! And then if there is something you don't like you can change their rules, not ours!

Well, this went as I expected, lol! Though I haven't (yet) driven in stock or super stock, I've never been a huge fan of buy backs for a couple of reasons. First, my home track has an average of 475 or so cars for a points race, so we've never had buybacks for those. Second, I HATE losing first round. Losing, paying money to buy back, then losing again would not do well for my blood pressure. I did buy back once...$20 extra to try for $2,000...I ended up winning 4 rounds and getting my money back plus maybe an ice cream cone. I did attend a race where the car count was low and they had 2 rounds of buy backs! I beat the same guy 3 times on my way to the win. When I pulled up next to him for the third time, he looked over at me and looked pretty shook up...

Ron, You got the holeshot on me this time.

Something to try for the Divisional tracks.

Take the round losers..put them back on a Sportsman ladder in the order they were in qualifying...Five minutes or less you've got a ladder..
$20 from the racer, $20 from the track..Pay W and R/U.
Who's gonna complain? The people in the stands? They're just family and crew anyway.
Might pick up a few more cars for the main event with this..
