[QUOTE=Jack Matyas;
Case in point was Denver - who knew so few cars would show up ?[/QUOTE]

Everyone here in the Midwest. That place, while my favorite track, is VERY sportsman unfriendly. During national events, sportsman racers are pushed half a mile past the sandtrap. Only one pit vehicle = no getting around. Not a place to bring family and friends. Car counts have been down for years. Won't change either, unless they let racers park where the spectators park, moving them elsewhere.

NHRA is a huge machine. There can be no planning or organizational event structure without exact and definite information. Unorganization would cost more than the confusion of "wait and see" mentality and calling it organization. You can control more with less if you know exactly what to expect.

That statement mildly surprises me. There`s been a thread brought up about it and beat on for AT LEAST 3 years in a row.

How do they staff a points meet? nobody needs to pre-enter them if that is the problem of not having enough people to run the race.

How many times is this subject going to be discussed? The NHRA does not give a rat's *** about what anyone on this forum thinks as long as y'all (LOL) show up at their party.
Stop paying the vig and they will get the message.

Hypothetical; What if S/SS boycotted Indy, would they get it?

Frank,

It wouldn't work, just ask anyone that raced Modified in the past...didn't work for them.

Frank, What you'd get at Indy next year would be Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Top Bobsled, etc.
