Good morning all, no rain yet, but man is it sticky out. Very warm, very humid, and no breeze. Weather forecast for today in no rain until 1:00 and only a 40% chance at that, who knows we may get a whole day of racing in. They will be calling stock to the lanes at 7:30.
The weather numbers for this morning..... Temp 78 Humid 74% Bar 29.33 DA 2861 Water Grains 107 Wind none |

Rubber coming up off of track. We are down now and cancelled out until after both sessions of pros. It is bright and sunny now, but rain forecast for later. Hopefully we are not done for the day including class. But we just have to hope it does not rain!

We are on hold, they have being working on the track for over an hour. Super Stock finished up and I believe a one pair Super Gas went down and then we went on hold. They told Super Gas to go back to their pits. Not sure of the issue, but alcohol will be out and then the pros before the sportsman get to run again.
The weather is surprisingly nice. The humidity went down, it is warm about 85, but its not bad out and there is no rain in sight. It could change later today according to the weather forecasters, but who knows. Opps... sorry Patsy did not see your post. Last edited by Ken Miele; 09-12-2014 at 11:31 AM. |

Broke a driveshaft u-bolt right at the hit this morning but Terry had spare everything. Think we're ready for the next run...
Although the torrential downpour last night didn't last long, apparently they're battling some water seepage. Been awfully quiet for a dragstrip! For having a 40% chance of rain, you'd figure it'd at least be a little overcast. ;-) Hot, humid, and very sunny. To be honest, I didn't even know they were running Stock Class Eliminations here, until yesterday. They moved Class up, so Stock got their second run in before the alky and pro stuff, so I imagine Stock is done for the day other than finishing Class. The car went down the race track, so we're on the sheet and as ready for tomorrow as we can be. We went out to dinner last night, as Terry did plenty of research planning our Charlotte itinerary. Midtown Smokehouse was our destination, and it was flat out incredible. With a crew of 7, we were able to sample a little of everything from bbq chicken, sausage, ribs, brisket, pickled onions, sweet potato fries, and the best bbq baked beans I've ever had. If you're here and can get away this weekend, definitely put them on your list! I've taken a few pics, but the signal's been hit and miss. Taken all day just to post this (if at all!)
