176 runs and counting! We went to the local track on the way back from St Louis this past weekend and got to the finals. The car was at A/SA weight, it hooked and went straight.

Beacon Dragway does a very good job of track prep. It is a good place to race or test.

Larry that's impressive! What am I missing though because I had goodyears 2 seasons ago and swore them off when I spun the tire at the National Event Last year at Epping, The goodyear guy told me the tires were good for 40-50 passes max, I had 48 passes on them and was spinning in F/SA at 3220 Lbs.

Thank You for the great info!

Tim, the 4457 were designed for much longer life without being too hard. I don't remember the number of the ones you are referring too. I run the 4457 on my firebird and gto. I can easily get 100 runs on my firebird 3100 lbs and still can go low 1.20 60fts till the end.

I guess NOTHING stays the same in racing....Wasn't it common practice to sell off
radials after maybe 20-30 runs and buy a new set?

That's what I used to do before I switched to Goodyears last year. My 2014 COPO has over 100 runs to date!

Thanks, Larry. Please keep us updated on this and let us know how many runs they last.

Tread depth after 176 runs 3 1/2 to almost 4 thirty-seconds.
